House of Quiet Stories
Here we sit with big feelings
where small keychains carry stories
and stories carry gentle healing
Trauma-informed stories and small calming keychains for children and teens who carry big fears – after war, migration, bullying, or feeling “too different”. Gentle, creative, and informed by psychological research.
What We Do Here?
House of Quiet Stories is a place where fears are welcomed gently and transformed through stories, art, and symbolic reminder charms.
A quiet home for kids and teens who carry big feelings or silent worries.
Here, we believe that every fear has a story, every story deserves a voice, and every voice deserves a safe place to rest.
With stories, with gentle reflection, and with courage,
we grow beyond fear — together.
What children and teens learn here

Name feelings
The stories help children talk about fear, worry, sadness, or feeling “different”.
Each story gives language for difficult emotions—gently and safely.

Cultural roots
Each child’s story honors a piece of their background, culture, or migration journey.
It helps kids feel seen, valued, and understood.

Stronger together
Parents, educators, and therapists can use the stories and small reminder charms
to start conversations about fear and resilience.
About the Creator
I Try to Make Space for Fear
I am a former professor and researcher who once found myself in a place I did not belong — surrounded by silence, fear, and displacement.
Naming my fears, sharing them, and walking through them with others changed my life.
House of Quiet Stories is the candle I decided to light — a place where fear softens through art, science, and storytelling.
A home for children and teenagers who carry quiet fears inside.
Here, we do not face fear alone.

Kids

Oksana and the Shadow of War
Oksana is a girl from Ukraine who had to leave her home because of the war. She is scared of loud noises, sirens and fireworks, and she worries about being different in a new country and language. In the story, her sunflower medallion becomes a symbol of home and courage, as Oksana slowly learns to feel safe again, make friends and trust that her feelings are allowed.

Yildiz and the Fear of the Dark
Yildiz is a girl with Turkish roots who is afraid of the dark, the night shadows and being alone when the lights go out. In the story, her star-shaped medallion becomes a symbol of her inner light and safety. Step by step, Yildiz learns to understand her fears, find soothing bedtime rituals and discover that even in the darkest night, there is always a light she can trust.

Teens

Ramtin and the panic about tomorrow
Ramtin is a teenage boy who feels overwhelmed by thoughts about the future. After moving to Germany, school pressure, language challenges, and expectations make time feel rushed and heavy, sometimes turning into panic. In the story, a cracked hourglass and a small pendant help Ramtin slow down, break fear into steps, and learn how to face panic when it appears. Step by step, he discovers that the future does not have to be perfect — it can be approached calmly, one moment at a time.
